Aqualyx is an injectable compound made from the deoxycholate family of acids and essentially absorbs the fat as you pass it out through the kidneys naturally. The acids cause fat destruction in the body. It is a quick non surgical way to remove stubborn fat from areas that are difficult to modify with exercise and diet. Results are typically permanent however you will need to keep weight steady to help maintain them. Aqualyx is intended for those with good skin elasticity and you must be able to pinch at least 3cm of fat for an area to be treated.
With the effective use of fat dissolving injections we can help you achieve a more sculpted and contoured look. Aqualyx is a leading high quality brand in fat dissolving that is proven to be safe and effective.
A thorough consultation must take place prior to your treatment booking to ensure suitability for treatment.
What happens during the treatment?
The practitioner will use a sterile wipe to thoroughly clean the area/ areas being treated and mark out injection sites accordingly. A series of tiny injections are performed with a special fine needle. It is recommended to purchase pressure garments/ compression shapewear to wear following treatment to enhance results.
Is the treatment painful?
For some clients the treatment can be uncomfortable. However we do add some anaesthetic (lidocaine) missed in with the Aqualyx to make it more comfortable. Following treatment there may be some pain or discomfort along with some initial bloating/ swelling and bruising. This is all completely normal.
How quickly will I see results?
Whilst you may see changes after just 1 treatment, to see maximum results it is recommended to have more than 1 treatment. It can take 4-6 treatments to see good results. We normally review how the client is progressing after each treatment and then make a decision of how many further treatments are required for the desired outcome.
